A Life of Faith
“ …for I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you gave me clothing, I was sick and you took care of me, I was in prison and you visited me.” – Matthew 25: 36-37
We believe a life of faith involves service and outreach, God-inspired callings. Outreach is a vital, Techno / Electronic Tickets ongoing, and treasured part of the life of People’s Church. Our Mission of the Month supports local, national, and international charitable organizations with monetary offerings and hands-on assistance. We also host a Mission Fair, where a wide array of area organizations come together to share information about their work and volunteer
opportunities.
Our ongoing Blessing Fund program offers financial assistance to individuals and organizations doing good works in our area and beyond. Each spring we are able to support a number of efforts and organizations striving to make life better in communities both near to us and across the globe.
Outreach happens in many other ways, too. We regularly support the Valley Outreach food and clothing distribution center in Stillwater through offerings, food drives and volunteer work, and our Pastor’s Discretionary Fund makes emergency assistance available to those with pressing needs. Our Prayer Shawl and Befrienders Ministries allow those especially gifted with their hands and hearts to reach out in a special, personal way to those who might otherwise feel alone. Occasional mission trips for youth and adults enable us to move beyond the Valley and experience the rewards of outreach in new and unexpected places, too.
